This year I was one of the lucky few that got to attend the Brucon 2023 conference and training program. For those of you who are not familiar with it you can visit the official website at https://www.brucon.org/2023/. It’s all about security … and beer! 🙂

When I said I was one of the lucky few I meant it. They advertise some 600 seats in total – so it’s first come first serve – but thanks to my manager and a colleague of mine I got to be one of the “privileged few” who got to attend an awesome training, an awesome conference and got to enjoy some of the finest Belgian beer in the process.
Yes, they served snacks, food and drinks (including Belgian beer), yes we had a retro gaming room, yes there was a lockpicking workshop as well as a hardware lab at the top floor (in all the commotion I forgot to take pics), yes that was the rooftop of the building hosting the conference and yes you missed out! 🙂
